Suitability Testing
Sacrificial nails loaded in cycles to the ultimate geotechnical strength under TfNSW TS 02168.1 (or the load nominated by your designer in Queensland) to validate bond stress assumptions before production installation begins.

Acceptance Testing
Production nails loaded to 1.5 times the design working load with multi-cycle creep and deflection monitoring recorded against the governing specification's acceptance criteria.

NATA-Calibrated Equipment

Rope Access Capabilities
IRATA Level 3 supervised technicians for steep batter, cliff face and limited-access retaining wall testing — no scaffold or EWP delays.
Specification Compliant
Testing and reporting strictly to Queensland TMR MRTS03, Transport for NSW TS 02168.1 and TS 02163, or your custom project specification.

The specifications we test to
Our testing regimes and reports are structured against the engineering and transport standards that govern ground anchor and soil nail works in Queensland and New South Wales.
TMR MRTS03 (Queensland)
Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads Specification MRTS03 — Drainage, Retaining Structures and Protective Coatings. Clause 49 governs soil nailing, including acceptance testing of production nails to 1.5 times the design working load. MRTS03 is the reference specification for most QLD civil and roadworks contracts.
TfNSW Geotechnical Specifications
Transport for NSW specifications TS 02168.1 (soil nailing — suitability and acceptance testing) and TS 02163 (post-tensioned ground anchors), including multi-cycle loading, creep monitoring and elastic extension verification requirements.
AS 4678 & BS 8081
Australian Standard AS 4678 (Earth-retaining structures) and BS 8081 (Code of practice for ground anchorages) underpin anchor design and testing practice nationally. Where a project specification nominates these standards, our test procedures and reporting follow them directly.
